Abstract

Objective:To explor the effect of breviscapine(Bre) on lipid peroxidation in hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury(HIRI).Methods:The HIRI model was used.Sixteen rabbits were randomly divided into control group(n=8) and Bre group(n=8).The superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity, malondialdehyde(MDA) content in hepatic tissue were observed, and obsvered the cell structure of the liver microscope at reperfusion 60 min. Results:The SOD activity and MDA content of Bre group,as compared with control group, showed significant differences(P0.01).The change of the cell structure in Bre group is lighter than in the control group. Conclusion:Bre has notable anti-lipid peroxidation effect on HIRI,which is due to its inhibiting the generation of oxygen free radicals and its strengthening scavenging of oxygen free radicals.liver;reperfusion injury;superoxide dismutase;malondialdehyde;drugs, chinese nerbal
