Abstract
Objective To explore clinical efficient of western medical treatment assisted by Chinese medicine enema for ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods From May 2005 to December 2007 out-patient and hospitalization patients with ulcerative colitis in our hospital were selected,39 cases were randomly divided into treatment group(20 cases)and control group(19 cases),both groups have basic medical treatment of western medicine,the treatment group enema with Chinese medicine,treated 60 days.Results In the treatment group:18 cases of clinical recovery(90%),effective two cases(10%),invalid 0 cases,with a total effective rate was 100%,effective time of 1~8 d,the average(4.5 ± 3.5)d.Control group:13 cases of clinical recovery(68%),effective in 4 cases(21%),2 cases(11%),the total effective rate 89%,effective time 1 ~ 21 d,average(11 ± 10)d.Treatment group had better efficacy than the control group(P0.05).Conclusions Treatment of ulcerative colitis with traditional Chinese medicine add enema is recommended.
