Clinical nursing of ulcerative colitis treated by retention enema with traditional Chinese medicine

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy and nursing of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) retention enema for chronic ulcerative colitis.Methods:Seventy-five cases of chronic ulcerative colitis were randomly divided into treatment group with 40 cases in it and control group with 35 cases in it.The treatment group was given medicine retention enema with its prescription composition: Radix Astragali 20g,Chinese angelica 5g,Dragon's Blood 6g,Indigo Powder 5g,and the control group was given large-Qing plus dexamethasone for the treatment of retention enema.The operating care and psychological care were strengthened in the treatment.Results:The cure rate of the treatment group was 57.5% and that of the control group 32.3%,with a significant difference between the two groups(P0.01),and the one-year follow-up showed the recurrence rate of the treatment group was 9.09% and that of the control group 27.2%,treatment group,with a significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:TCM retention enema for chronic ulcerative colitis has a good effect.
