Abstract
Objective To understand the current status of nutrition knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP) among the students of Nutrition improvement plan pilot areas in part of Henan,and to provide a scientific basis for nutrition education intervention strategy.Methods A questionnaire survey on nutrition KAP was conducted among 1 680 students who were selected from 8 schools of pilot areas in Zhoukou by cluster random sampling method.The questionnaire consisted of 52 points.With 60%,80% as the boundary,the nutrition KAP score is divided into poor, general and three grades.The data was analyzed by statistical description,single factor analysis of variance and chi-square etc.with SPSS12.0.Results The good rate of student K,A,P scores and the total score were 8.3%,57.0%,32.3%,26.1%;the correlation coefficient between knowledge and attitude,knowledge and behavior,attitude and behavior were 0.244,0.069,0.404;the nutrition KAP score of students were related to the regional and the cultural degree of students and parents;TV is the main way to gain nutrition knowledge for elementary and middle school students,and the main demand approach is lecture.Conclusion The knowledge and behavior level of pilot school students are low,while the attitudes to nutrition education is good.The regional and educational level are the main factors that influence the nutrition KAP scores;the demand approach for students nutrition knowledge is not satisfied.
