Abstract

[Objective] To investigate and analyze the knowledge-attitude-practices on nutrition among military university students, and to lay the foundation for the better grasp of nutrition knowledge and more targeted nutrition guide. [Methods] 200 students were selected from a military university to participate the questionnaires investigation, and the cluster random sampling method was used. [Results] The respondents’ average age was 22.5±2.7, the proportion of low weight, normal weight, heavy weight were 17.5%, 67.5% and 15.0%, respectively. The knowledge of nutrition was deficient, and the pass rate of nutrition knowledge score was merely 53.5%. The attitude of nutrition showed to be favorable, but there was unhealthy nutrition behavior. There was significant difference in the nutrition knowledge and attitude in different education level. Between heavy weight and normal weight students, there was significant difference between the nutrition knowledge and nutrition behavior. [Conclusion] The knowledge of nutrition is deficient, their attitude is good, but the practices are not enough. It is suggested to perform nutrition guide in terms of different education level and strengthen the grasp of nutrition knowledge.
