Abstract

Objective To research ATP13A2(PARK9) gene polymorphism loci c.2236 G A population distribution in Xinjiang Hetian Uyghur and explore the relationship with Parkinson disease(PD).Methods Eighty eight cases of Uyghur PD patients received the epidemiological investigation on the basis of the diagnosed as case group, and 90 healthy persons as control group were case-controls.The ATPl3A2 gene polymorphism was analyzed by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP).Results The ATP13A2 gene of c.2236 GA site of GA type and AA type were not detected in Xinjiang Hetian Uyghur(PD in the case group) and the control group. The mutation frequency was 0.There were no significant differences in distribution of age and gender of ATPl3A2 gene of c.2236 GA polymorphism(P0.05).Conclusion The polymorphism of Parkin gene ATP13A2 is not associated with risk of Parkinson′s disease of Uyghur ethnics of Hetian Xinjiang.
