Abstract

Objective:To analysis the association of Apo B gene polymorphisms with gallstone disease in Xinjiang Uyghur. Methods: A prospective case-control study was done including 79 Uyghur gallstones(patients operated in our hospital)as well as 53 Uyghur age- and sex-matched healthy controls(volunteer accepted physical examination in Medical Centre of our hospital) from March 2010 to June 2013.For genotyping DNA samples of all study subjects were amplified using SNa Pshot SNP. To analyse if the distribution of Apo B gene types is different between gallstone and control in Xinjiang Uyghur. Results: Apo B gene allele frequencies and Genotype frequencies was not found to be significantly different between gallstone group and control in Xinjiang Uyghur(P0.05).Conclusions:Apo B gene polymorphism is not associated with gallstone disease of Xinjiang Uyghur.Larger sample sizes and multicenter study are needed to confirm it.
