Abstract
In order to welcome the 2008 Olympics, the research of wild groundcover plants application is conducted so as to choose the appropriate wild groundcover plants for the urban greening of Beijing. 30 species of wild plants are made in-depth study and propagation test from more than 100 common species of wild plants in Beijing. After a further selection, 16 species of wild groundcover plants of good performance are finally identified. The key conservation technology is summarized, their application prospect is evaluated, and some suggestions and forecasts of the application of wild groundcover plants in the city are raised.
