Study of the Relationship Between Expression of Platelet Membrane Glycoproteins and Acute Cerebral Infarction

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the expression of platelet membrane glycoproteins in patients with acute cerebral infarction and to analyze the relationship between the expression of platelet membrane glycoproteins and clinical neurologic deficit scale.Methods:Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression of CD31,CD62p,CD63 and PAC-1 on platelet membrane of 152 patients with acute cerebral infarction and of 30 healthy control people.Results:The expression of CD31,CD62p,CD63 and PAC-1 of patients with acute cerebral infarction was significantly higher than that of healthy control people(P 0.01).The expression of CD62p and PAC-1 of patients with acute cerebral infarction was positively related with clinical neurologic deficit scale(respectively P 0.05,P 0.01).Conclusions:There is a significant platelet activation in the patients with acute cerebral infarction.The expression of CD62p and PAC-1 of patients with acute cerebral infarction was closely related with clinical severity of stroke,which can be regarded as the sensitive markers reflecting stroke patient's condition and predicting prognosis.
