Abstract
In the present paper, narrow size distribution linear polystyrene microspheres with average size of3.0μm are prepared by dispersion polymerization.Through modifying polymerization technological process, narrow size distribution crosslinked polystyrene microspheres with average size of about3.0μm areprepared. These two kinds of polystyrene microspheres are compared in some properties including morphology and size analysis,FITR,DSC and solvent-resistant experiment. The results showe that crosslinked polystyrene microspheres have poorer sphericity, wider size distribution, better heat-resistant and solvent-resistant properties than linear polystyrene microspheres.
