Abstract
The key technology in preparing polymer matrix malerials of anisotropic conductive films is to prepare 5.0μm, monodisperse (coefficient of variation e≤0.05) polymer microspheres coated with gold. In this paper, the system of emulsion polymerization, suspension polymerization and dispersion polymerization were compared. In optimum condition, 5.0μm monodisperse (coefficient of variation e=0.02) polystyrene microspheres were prepared by dispersion polymerization. The polystyrene microspheres have good sphericity and smooth intact surface. This kind of well distributed polystyrene microspheres will be applied in surface plating gold.
