The Establishment and Abolishment of Soldiers' Committee System in Zhu De and Mao Zedong's Red Army

The establishment of soldiers' committee system was an important measure of reform adopted by Mao Zedong in Sanwan Reorganization.This system smashed the army administration foundation of old-style armies and peasants' armed forces,playing an important role in the democratic development of Zhu De and Mao Zedong's Red Army.Later in response to the drawbacks caused by soldiers' committee in the Fourth Red Army,Mao Zedong and other leaders adopted some measures preventing extremalization of democracy.Then the Central Committee of the CPC led by Li Lisan promulgated three basic ordinances including the Draft of Organic Rules for Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army according to the requirements for national regular army.In these ordinances there was no provision on the setting of solders' committee.So the promulgation of this policy implied that the soliders' committee system of Zhu De and Mao Zedong's Red Army was abolished.
