The Context of the Misrepresentation “Mao Zedong was Deprived of His CPC Membership” in the Period of Struggle in Jinggangshan

In 1928,Zhou Lu,representative from the South Hunan Special Committee of the CPC,arrived in Jinggangshan with a surprising message: Mao Zedong was deprived of his CPC membership by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.Since then Mao Zedong lost the position of General Secretary of the Front Committee,and this resulted in a series of aftermaths,e.g.,the March Failure.It is not accidental that Mao Zedong was wrongly criticized and severely punished by the CPC Central Committee.The reasons include his speech in the August 7 Meeting,change of the plan of the Autumn Harvest Uprising,and decision of leading the army to Jinggangshan.Mao Zedong’s experiences show that: not only super wisdom but also great courage are required for seeking the truth and exploring the new way of revolution.
