VSD technique applications in orthopedic trauma infections

Objective To explore the vacuum sealing drainage( VSD) technology in the treatment of orthopedics trauma infection effect. Methods 52 patients were randomly divided into two groups,the treatment group and control group,the group,all former line of debridement,the treatment group USES the VSD dressing wounds,5 to 7 days later,according to the infection control debridement for once or several times to replace the VSD dressing,the control group with traditional treatment methods,the bandage once or twice a day,cleaning the wound,gauze,placed drainage. For infection control wounds after direct suture or skin grafting. Results Treatment group,16 cases were cured( 59%),9 cases( 33%) had marked effect,total effective rate( 92%). And treatment group,10 cases were cured( 40%),8 cases( 32%) had marked effect,total effective rate( 72%) compared to the total effective rate difference was statistically significant. The treatment group than the control group on average healing time significantly shortened,the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusions Vacuum sealing drainage( VSD) technology treatment of orthopedics trauma infection effect is remarkable,is worth clinical popularizing widely.
