Abstract
objective To evalute the therapeutic effect and safety of fluoxetine and clomipramine in treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder.Methods Fifty patients according to CCMD-3 criteria were enrolled in this study.Twenty-five patients taking fluoxetine and another twenty-five patients having domipramine for eight weeks.Symptom improvement and side effects were monitored with clinical evaluation,Yale-Browm OCD rating scale,MSCDPOR, HAMD,HAMA and TESS.Results At the end of eight weeks of treatment,there was no significant difference in the efficacy between fluoxetine and clomipramine.However the side effects of fluoxetine were lighter than clomipramine.Conclusion The results indicate that both fluoxetine and clomipramine is effective in the treatment of OCD,but fluoxetine showed more advantages for its convenient administration and the side effects of it were light.
