Abstract
[Objective]To understand the patients' and the common people's knowledge-attitude-practice to diabetes before and after health education,explore effective health education in rural community.[Methods]Investigation was conducted in diabetes patients and people from 2 comprehensive diabetes response of Malu town,Jiading district in June 2005 in comparison with data from baseline investigation in 2002.[Results]The patients' and people's knowledge on the common symptoms of diabetes,fat diabetes,hereditary cause,control through diet and exercises,blood-sugar content detection was improved a lot after intervention.The number of the patients to do moderate exercises increased and the people to do light exercises increased.[Conclusion]It was effective to conduct health education on the knowledge of diabetes in rural community.
