Analysis of Health Education of Diabetes in Dongying Communities

Objective To sum up our experience in health education of diabetes in communities and to improve diabetes tertiary prevention. Methods Patients diagnosed with diabetes in appointed communities were chosen for the work.In order to study their basic knowledge on diabetes,a questionnaire was used.Than intervented patients were educated with systematic health knowledge and they were treated with five-carriages procedure about diabetes prevention.After one year of practice,the same questionnaire was used again to evaluate the effect of practice.Results before and after the intervention.Results Health education of diabetes in communities plays an important role in ealier detection of diabetes, complications prevention,reduction in morbidity and mortality and improvement of patients' life quality.Conclusions As health education of diabetes in communities is very important in diabetes tertiary prevention,we should spread the work.
