Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the curative effect of montelukast on children with CVA.METHDOS:The treatment group(n=42)was treated with bricany and montelukast. The control group(n=36)was treated with bricany and ketotifen.Bricany was with drawn until the symptom disappeared, then montelukast and ketotifen were still taken till the course of treatment reached 12 weeks. The recurrence rate was observed at the follow-up of 9 months. RESULTS:The remission time of two groups were(5.3±3.7)and(6.9±3.4)days in acute patient, respectively. The differences were not significant(P0.05).The recurrence rate(19.04%)and incidence of CVA(11.90%)of treatment group were significantly shorter(P0.05)than the control group(41.67% and 33.33%,respectively).CONCLUSION: Montelukast can control cough and the curative effect of it was significant, with lower recurrence rate and incidence of CVA.
