A Classification of Zhanqiao Dialect Linxiang of Hunan Province

Comparing the sound of Changsha dialect and Nanchang dialect,this article finds that the tone of Zhanqiao dialect has a closer relationship with that of Changsha dialect,and that the final sound of Zhanqiao dialect approaches that of Nanchang dialect.Furthermore,this article traces back the reasons why this kind of characteristics forms.In addition,since Zhanqiao lies on the linguistic intersection of Hunan and Jiangxi,it is better to classify Zhanqiao dialect as the transitive language of Hunanese and Jiangxiese.
