Abstract
South Korean-Japanese relations are very important relations to each other. The bilateral relations were decided under the background of the cold war between the formal USSR and the USA and promoted by the USA.With the dramatic changes in East Europe in 1980s and 1990s,and the disintegration of the formal USSR,and the collapse of the cold war system, the Repiblic of Korea, depending on its increasing economic power and international fame,in order to meet the changing international situation, gradually adjusted its foreign diplomatic policy to Japan. So the bilateral relations change a bit differently from that in the cold war.
