Abstract
In the background of the Cold War,the DPRK-ROK relations were full of twists and turns with the change of the international situation.From the initial confrontation to the introduction of a series of national reconciliation policies,DPRK and ROK achieved a historic breakthrough.However,there are serious mistrust and great differences in the program of the reunification of the motherland between them,so the DPRK-ROK relations always developed in twists and turns during the Cold War.In particular,the DPRK-ROK relationship was influenced greatly by the international environmental factors.Until the Cold War ended,the DPRK-ROK relationship can be improved and the bilateral high-level governmental talks are possible.
