Abstract
Based on the mechanism of wheel/rail noise for high-speed railway, the prediction method of the average wayside wheel/rail rolling noise when a train is passing is analyzed. The noise prediction analysis model is established, thus paving the way for wheel/rail noise control. On the basis of the study on the train/track interaction, wheel/rail surface roughness, wheel/rail contact area filtering, the radiation of wheel/rail system noise (rail, wheel and sleeper), and the noise ratio of sound radiation and sound reflection of the ground, the paper makes the numerical simulation prediction of the wheel/rail noise of the first dedicated passenger railway in China. It presents the spectrum characteristics of the wheel/rail noise, the distance attenuation characteristics and the rule varying with running speed.
