Abstract
The railway noise has impacted heavily on the residents along the lines.In this paper,based on the model of wheel/rail rolling noise prediction,the effects on wheel/rail rolling noise of changes in the parameters of wheel are studied.It shows that it is beneficial for the reduction of wheel/rail rolling-noise while the wheel radius are decreased properly and the wheel web thickness and the wheel tread mass are increased.
