Abstract

A one-dimensional Zn(Ⅱ)-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid-phen coordination polymer, {[Zn(C11H8O6)(H2O)phen].C2H5OH}n has been hydrothermally synthesized .The structure of the complex was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The results of structural analysis indicate that the complex crystallizes in the triclinic, space group P-1 with a=0.914 7(2) nm, b=1.019 4(3) nm, c=1.341 7(4) nm, α=80.539(4)°, β=84.461(4)°, γ=89.074(3)°, V=1 228.2(6) nm3 , Z=2, Dcalc=1.476 g·cm-3, F(000)= 564, the final R=0.055 0 and wR=0.140 4. The coordination environment of Zn2+ is a distorted octahedron, and each 1,3,5-Benzenetricarboxylic acid links two Zn2+ atoms using two of carboxyl groups to generate an one-dimensional(1D) chain structure. Two 1D chains are further connected to a 1D double chain coordination supramolecule by hydrogen bonds. In addition, the UV-VIS-NIR, IR and fluorescence spectra of the complex were measured and analyzed.
