Abstract
Objective: To observe the therapeutic effects of Danzhi Jiangtang capsule on rats with diabetic nephropathy( DN) on Yiqi Yangyin Huoxue( YYH) principle basis. Methods: DN rat( Sprague Dawley rats) models were initially developed by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin after ligation of unilateral kidney,and divided into sham operation group,model control group and groups treated with Danzhi Jiangtang capsule in low,medium and high dose. After consecutive 6-week intervention,all DN rats were observed regarding the general vital energy and level changes of blood sugar,glycosylated hemoglobin,urinary production and 24-hour urine protein. Results: Elevated levels of blood sugar,glycosylated hemoglobin,urinary volume and 24-hour urine protein were found in the model rats before medication,and the previous biochemical indicators were down-regulated to a certain extent after Danzhi Jiangtang capsule intervention. Conclusion: Danzhi Jiangtang capsule can effectively reduce the levels of blood sugar and improve the symptoms of DN rats on YYH recipe basis,suggesting that this regimen has certain therapeutic effect on DN and may be used in clinic.
