Abstract
Objective To investigate the anti-fibrosis effects and molecular biology mechanism of supplementing qi-nourishing yin and disperse blood stasis-dredge collateral herbs on the kidney of the diabetic rats.Methods SD rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:simple nephrectomy,model,irbesatan,low,middle,and high dose TCM groups,and afforded with the medicine respectively.At the end of the sixth week,24 h urine protein(U Pro),pathomorphology observations and the Col-Ⅳ mRNA and CTGF protein expressions were detected.Results Compared with that of model,irbesatan,TCM low dose and middle dose groups the levels of U Pro were significantly decreased(P0.05).Levels of Col-Ⅳ mRNA and CTGF protein expressionS were significantly decreased in irbesatan and TCM low dose groups(P0.05).In all treated groups the pathological changes were also improved(P0.05).Conclusions Supplementing qi-nourishing yin and disperse blood stasis-dredge collateral herbs could inhibit the fibrosis in the kidney of diabetic rats effectively by down regulating the expression of CTGF/Col-Ⅳ.
