Abstract
Objective To investigate the microsurgical technique for the parasagittal meningiomas in central area and its curative effect. Methods The clinicao data of 23 patients with parasagittal meningiomas in central area, who underwent microsurgical treatment in our hospital from January 2000 to june 2006,were analyzed retrospectively. The clinical data included imaging data, the operative approach, and microsurgery method. Results According to Simpson classifica of glicma resection,of the 23 patients 18 received Grade Ⅰ resection of the tumors,4 Grade Ⅱ and 1 Grade Ⅲ.No patients died from the operation.the following-up from 3 to 72 months in 17 patients showed that the meningiomas recurred in 2 patients who received reoperation. Conclusion Using microsurgical techniques in the resection of parasagittal meningioma in central area may improve the percentage of total tumor resection, decrease the injuries of important functional area of the brain, redue complications and improve survival outcome.
