Microsurgical Treatment of Parasagittal Meningiomas:A Report of 67 Cases

Objective:To explore the operative technique of parasagittal meningiomas.Methods:The clinical data of 67 patients with parasagittal meningiomas was analysized retrospectively.Results:Simpson Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲgrade resection was achieved in 22,39 and 6 of the 67 patients in this series respectively.The follow-up period ranged from 6～36 months.All the patients recovered well.There were no postoperative deaths.Conclusions:Simpson Ⅰ～Ⅱ grade resection can be reached for parasagittal meningiomas.Adequate surgical exposure,efficient management of operative bleeding,protection and replacement of the sagittal sinus,and avoidence of damage to the brain tissues are the key factors to improve operative effect.
