Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect on treatment with Nifedipine Sustained Release Tablets combined with Irbesartan for diabetes and hypertension. Methods 110 patients with diabetes and hypertension were randomly divided into test group and control group, with 55 cases in each group. The two groups were given conventional treatment. The control group was given 150 mg of Irbesartan Tablets, once a day.The test group was given 20 mg Nifedipine Sustained Release Tablets on the base of control group, once a day. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy in the two groups was compared. Results The total effective rate of test group was 92.7%,significantly higher than 78.2% of control group(χ2 = 4.681,P 0.05).After treatment, the blood pressure and 24 hours urinary albumin of test group were more significant improvement than before and control group(P 0.05).Adverse reactions of the two groups were slight during treatment. Conclusion The clinical effect on treatment with Nifedipine Sustained Release Tablets combined with Irbesartan for diabetes and hypertension is satisfactory and safe, which is worthy of clinical application.
