Abstract

Objective To study relation of seasonal variation and sperm parameters,seminal plasma fructose,nertral α-glycosi-dase.Methods Sperm samples were obtained from 2339 patients of male infertility.Sperm concentration and motility were detected by computer assisted sperm analysis(CASA).The sperm morphology analysis using semiautomatic sperm morphology analyzer was performed.Seminal plasma fructose concentration,nertral αglycosidade was measured by spectrophotometer.For groups were defined according to seasonal variation:G1(3-5 month),G2(6-8 month),G3(9-11 month),G4(12-2 month).Results Averge sperm concentration was the highest in G1(3-5 month) the lowest in G3(9-11 month).Sperm concentration of G3 was significantly lower than that of G1(P0.05).The percentage of morphologically normal sperm of G4 were significantly lower than that of G1,G2 and G3(P0.001).Nertral α-glycosidase of G4 were significantly lower than that ofG1,G2 and G3(P0.05,P0.01).Seminal plasma fructose was the the lowest in G1.There was no difference in all groups(P0.05).Conclusion Seasonal variation can have influence on sperm concentration and neutral α-glycosidase.
