Abstract

Objective:To investigate the role of cyclin G1 in the development of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)and cervical carcinoma. Methods:We detected the expression of cyclin G1 in normal cervical epithelium/cervicitis(control group,20 cases),CIN(CIN1 26 cases,CIN2 26 cases,CIN3 28 cases) and invasive cervical squamous-cell carcinoma(SCC,20 cases)with immunohistochemical method. Results:There were no expression of cyclin G1 in the control group. The intense positive rate of CIN1,CIN2,CIN3(including carcinoma in situ)and invasive cervical cancer were 26.92%,57.69%,67.86% and 75.00% respectively. The positive area of cyclin G1 accorded with the pathologic area in most cases. All of these data had significant statistical difference. Conclusion:The positive rate and intensity of its expression is increasing gradually in CIN and SCC group. The over-expression of cyclin G1 may suggest the ability of proliferation. It is involved in pathogenesis and development of CIN and SCC.According to these,it may be helpful for therapy and prognosis of cervical disease.
