Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical value of spiral CT multiplanar reformation(MPR) in treating orbital injury. Methods The structural relationship of different orbital parts in 31 cases were observed when MPR was performed after spiral CT scanning. Results Of the 31 cases, there were 15 cases of inner wall fracture,8 cases of external wall fracture,4 cases of upper wall fracture and 4 cases of inferior wall fracture. The spiral CT MPR could produce clear images of fractures and the structural relationship between soft tissues such as optic nerves and extra-ocular musle and fractures. Conclusion Spiral CT MPR can provide reliable images for diagnoses and can have some clinical value.
