Study on the level of serum trace elements among patients with digestive malignant tumors

OBJECTIVE To explore content of Zn,Cu,Se and Mg in the serum of patients with digestive malignant tumors,so as to explore the role of serum trace elements in the digestive malignant tumors.METHODS A total of 136 patients with malignant tumors diagnosed by pathology were selected as case group,and 200 patients without digestive malignant tumors were selected as controls,and we compared the content of Zn,Cu,Se and Mg in the two groups.RESULTS The contents of Zn,Se and Mg in the case group were significantly lower those of control group,while the Cu was significantly higher(P﹤0.001).Then we compare the serum trace elements according to types of cancers,and all kinds of serum trace elements in the patients with gastric cancer,esophageal cancer,liver cancer and gallbladder cancer showed significantly difference with control group(P﹤0.05).The Cu,Se and Mg among patients with pancreatic cancer showed significantly difference with controls(P﹤0.01).CONCLUSION There was significant difference in the Zn,Cu,Se and Mg between digestive malignant tumor patients and health control group,and serum trace elements are related to the occurrence of digestive malignant tumors.
