Abstract

Objective:To investigate the relationships between abnormal karyotypes of fetal chorionic villus cells and missed abortion.Methods:107 samples of fetal villus tissue cells were detected by the conventional G-banding chromosome analysis after uterine curettage. Results:There were 64 cases of abnormal karyotypes in total 107 samples, abnormal rate achieve 59.8 %.Of which,58 cases were chromosome number abnormality,5 cases were chromosomal structural abnormality. Conclusion:The chromosomal abnormality is an important reason for missed abortion.Chromosome analysis of fetal villus tissue cells can provide reliable evidence for etiological diagnosis and next reproductive counselling.
