Abstract

Objective:To investigate cause of missed abortion. Methods:Choronic villi from 220 cases of missed abortion were sampled.Tissue culture and karyotype analysis was performed on these samples. Results:The successful cell culture rate was 96.36%(212/220).There were 207(97.64%) cases succeeded in karyotype analysis and 115 cases (55.56 %) with chromosome abnormality among 207 cases.Abnormal karyotypes included 72 cases of trisomy,16 cases of monosomy X,14 cases of polyploid,10 cases of chimera and 3 structural abnormity. Conclusion:Chromosome abnormalities was the most important reason in missed abortion, and karyotype analysis of chorionic villus has important clinical significance.
