Abstract

Objective: To investigate the feasibility study of intravenous anesthesia using propofol undergoing Fiberoptic Bronchsocopy. Method: 102 patients aged 20-80yr undergoing fiberoptic bronchoscopy were divided into two groups. Patients of control group were accept surface anesthesia before bronchoscopy was performed. Patients of experimentation group were receiving intravenous infusion of propofol.Vital sign (such as BP,HR,RR and SpO2), adverse effect (such as bucking, respiratory depression ), satisfaction degree after analepsia were monitored and recorded during FOB. Results: Compared with control group, variance of SBP、HR、RR、SpO2in experimentation had less change, cases with severe bucking decreased significantly, and satisfaction degree after analepsia increased markedly, there were a significant difference (P0.01). In spite of incidence rate of respiratory depression in experimentation group was higher than that in control group (P0.05), but SpO2≥96% in experimentation group after inhaling oxgen. Conclusion: Intravenous anesthesia using propofol undergoing fiberoptic bronchsocopy is more safe and effective than routine surface anesthesia.
