Abstract
Objective To investigate the feasibility study of intravenous anesthesia using propofol for old undergoing fiberoptic bronchsocopy. Methods 80 patients aged 65~80 years old undergoing fiberoptic bronchoscopy were divided into two groups. Patients of the control group accepted surface anesthesia before bronchoscopy was performed. Patients of the experiment group received intravenous infusion of propofol. Vital sign (such as BP,HR,RR and SpO2),adverse effect (such as bucking, respiratory depression),satisfaction degree after analepsia were monitored and recorded during FOB.Results Compared with the control group, variance of SBP,HR,RR,SpO2 in the experiment group had less changes, the cases with severe bucking decreased significantly, and satisfaction degree after analepsia increased markedly,(P0.05 or P0.01). The incidence rate of respiratory depression in the experiment group was higher than that in the control group (P0.05),but SpO2 was higher than 96% in the experiment group after inhaling oxygen. Conclusion Intravenous anesthesia using propofol for old undergoing fiberoptic bronchsocopy is safer and more effective than the routine surface anesthesia.
