Abstract

Objective To introduce procedural method and therapeutic effect of percutaneous oxygen-ozone injection therapy to the senile lumbar intervertebral degeneration.Methoods 86 cases with senile lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration confirmed by radiological analysis and clinical examination were treated with percutaneous oxygen-ozone injection into lumbar intervertebral disc under CT guidance. Results 86 cases with senile lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration were all successfully treated without any complications. All patients were carried out the second therapy from 3~7 days.74 cases(86 %) had significant curative effects,10 cases(11.6 %) had good effects, and 2 cases(2.3 %)were invalid on follow-up from 2 through 18 months. Conclusion It is a safe, minimally invasive and effective method for percutaneous oxygen-ozone injection for senile lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration patients.
