Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of floxuridine-lipiodol emulsion embolization for treatment of hepatic carcinoma.Methods:47 patients with hepatic carcinoma were selected to carry out transcatheter artery chemoembolization (TACE) with floxuridine-lipiodol emulsion. A month after TACE,a repeat CT examination was performed to evaluate the effectiveness.[WT5”HZ]Results:TACE was carried out 133 times (range,1~9 times;mean,2.8 times) in 47 patients,After TACE lipiodol absorption was observed :Grade Ⅰin 24 patients (51%),Grade Ⅱ in 14 (30%),Grade Ⅲ in 9 (19%),post-embolization syndrome was light. No severe complications happened. Conclusion:TACE with floxuridine-lipiodol emulsion is effective and safe for hepatic cacinoma.
