Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of chronic empyema treatment combined with traditional medicine and western medicine.Methods 88 cases were randomly divided into 2 groups,the treatment group(50 cases) and the control group(38 cases).Both groups were treated with effective antibiotics,and treatment group was added Chinese drug.Results The effective rate is 100% in the treatment group and 92.1% in the control group.There was significant difference between two groups(P0.05).The cured rates were 80.00% and 34.2% respectively in the treatment group and the control group.The difference was significant too(P0.01).Conclusion Chronic empyema combined treatment with traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine is deserved to be extended.
