Abstract
Objective To further confirm the value of Serum Cystatin C on the filtration function. Methods Serum Cystatin C concentrations were measured in 164 patients suffered from renal lesions using a particle-enhanced nephelometric assay . The results were compared with blood urea ,Scr and Ccr.Results The study showed that there was a high relativity between Cystatin C and Ccr.Conclusion Cystatin C may be an ideal marker of GFR, and Cystatin C assay may be used as a novel method for the purpose of evaluating glomerular filtration.
