Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical significance of serum cystatin C as a marker of glomerular filtration function. Methods Serum cystatin C was measured by ELISA. On the same time, serum creatinine and endogenous creatinine clearance were measured in all patients. Then the correlation and diagnostic sensibility of them were analyzed. Results Serum cystatin C and Ccr were significantly correlated. The diagnostic sensibility of serum cystatin C is better than of Scr.Conclusion Serum cystatin C is a reliable and susceptible marker of glomerular filtration function.
