Abstract
Objective To study the diagnostic significance of Cystatin C assay on early decrease of glomerular filtration rate (GFR).Methods The concentrations of cystatin C were detected in 115 serum samples from 65 patients with glomerular disease. Results The density construction of Cystatin C was very different from that of BUN or Scr (P0.01).There were posotive correlations between the levels of cystatin C and β 2 MG,BUN,Scr and their relative sensibilities were 95%,43%,31% respectively compared with Cystatin C.Conclusion Serum concentration of Cystatin C can reflect the changes of GFR more exactly and may be a sensitive diagnostic way to early decrease of GFR.
