Research on the Relationship between Economy Growth and Environmental Pollution in Shandong Province Based on EKC

Recently,the problem of environmental pollution has become the main obstacle that restricts the regional economic development.Shandong is an economically strong province of China.If we want to achieve the sustainable economic development,the government of Shandong must pay attention to the relationship between economic growth and environmental protection.The Environmental Kuznets Curve Hypothesis describes the relationship between economy development and environmental protection,so this paper collects the GDP per capita and three types of waste emissions of 1981—2009 in Shandong province related data.Then the relationship between the economic growth and various pollutants by using regression analysis method is founded,so as to provide the government with theoretical guidance for formulating environmental protection policies.
