Abstract

Objective To develop an RP-HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of the contents of protocatechuic acid, rutin, hyperoside and quercitrin in Bidens parviflora Willd..Methods The analysis was carried out on a Shimadzu VP-C18(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm)column; The mobile phase was composed of acetonitrile and 0.1%(φ) formic acid with gradient elution at a flow rate of 1.0 mL · min1.The detection wavelength was set at 254 nm and column temperature was 30 ℃.Results The linear ranges of protocatechuic acid, rutin, hyperoside and quercitrin were 40.2-804.0,24.8-496.0,25.2-504.0,20.4-408.0 mg ·L-1(r≥0.999 5,n=6),respectively.The average recoveries were 100.2%,99.3%,99.5% and 98.3%(RSD2.9%,n=6),respectively.Conclusion This method is simple and can be used to determine the contents of the above four components with satisfactory accuracy and reproducibility.
