Abstract

Isothermal adsorption methods were used to investigate adsorption effects of chromium( Ⅵ). The adsorption was tested under laboratory conditions, as a function of temperature and shaking time. The results of this research show that the H2SO4+Cu SO4 modified zeolite has the highest adsorption of chromium; under chromium concentration ≤ 25 mg/L, adsorption rate increases from 79.844% up to 94.312%, the zeolite well conformed to the Freundlich isotherm equation, showing not just monolayer adsorption, 1/n 1, it is indicated that chromium( Ⅵ) of adsorption of modified zeolite is hard to react, but modified zeolite intensity was 8 times stronger than natural zeolite of that; it is satisfactory to match with pseudo-second order kinetic model, theoretical value Q=0.2367 mg/g, close to practical value 0.2319 mg/g; Elovich equation stimulates the process of dynamic, showing stronger ion exchange in process, the Intraparticle diffusion did have effect on the adsorption.
