Abstract
Influencing factors in using modified zeolite to adsorb chromium(VI) ion were investigated. The adsorption was tested under laboratory conditions as a function of pH,shaking time, quantity of modified zeolite and initial metal ion concentration. The results of this research show that the adsorption capacity of modified zeolite strongly depends on pH of solution;and the mechanism is surface complex adsorption, and the adsorption conforms to Langmiur isotherms equation of single molecular layer adsorption.
