Abstract

Objective To study the value of integrated detection of serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] and total cholesterol /high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio(TC /HDL) in diagnosis of coronary heart disease(CHD).Method A total of 236 patients with documented CHD and 50 healthy subjects were enrolled in this study for measurement of serum concentrations of hs-CRP,Lp(a)and TC /HDL-C.Results The concentration of hs-CRP,Lp(a) and TC /HDL-C ratio was significantly higher in CHD patients than in the control subjects(P0.01).The sensitivity of integrated detection of all the three markers(94.5%) was higher than the single marker detection of either hs-CRP(85.6%),Lp(a)(82.3%)or TC /HDL(76.2%,P0.05).Conclusion Integrated detection of hs-CRP,Lp(a) and TC /HDL is more accurate and reliable in the diagnosis of CHD.
