Abstract
Objective To investigate the role of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and ratio of total cholestcrol to HDL-choleserol (TC/HDL-C) in caediovascular disease. Methods Hs-CRP was determined by latex-enhanced immunoturbidimetric assay,TC and HDL-C was determined by enzyme methods and homogeneous method. Results The level of hs-CRP and TC/HDL-C in patients were significantly higher than in the controls. The level of hs-CRPand TC/HDL-C in active myotardial infaction (AMI) was significantly higher than in the coronary artery disease (CAD).The level of hs-CRP and TC/HDL-C in CAD was significantly higher than in hypcrtensiv patient. Conclusion hs-CRP is strongly associated with cardiovascular disease. It is the stronger risk assessment and predictor of cardiovascular using both hs-CRP and TC/HDL-C ratio.
