Review and Rethinking of the Researches on Overseas Chinese

Abstract

The Chinese researching on the history of overseas Chinese was started only a few years ago,in the period of the Republic of China.Since then,the researchers have concentrated on their contribution to specific events,including the Chinese revolution,economic development,education and overseas Chinese hometown construction.Besides,the situation of overseas Chinese living abroad,mainly the problem of assimilation,Chinese education,treatment and abroad government policy,has been a focus of their research.The existing research is in great want of the contemporary theories,contents and historical facts and researchers.
